Agent Native
#1 - AI Super App Update
Intro Option
We have massive news in the world of AI agents. Codex just added /goal to their desktop app which will allow agents to work on long-running tasks for more than a day. Anthropic convinced Andrej Karpathy to join the team and Google is rolling out their own version of OpenClaw and that's just the start.
Welcome to the first ever AI super app update. Every week I'm going to break down what is happening across the frontier AI agent companies and platform. The goal of this series is simple. To make sense of all of the updates that actually matter, model updates, platform changes, new AI agent abilities so that we can stay on the frontier of using AI agents.
My name is Riley Brown. I'll be doing this every week. Please hit like and subscribe. It helps me out a ton. Anyway, let's not waste any more time. Let's dive in.
Claude Agents in Terminal
Anthropic released Claude Agents, a new way to interact with AI agents in the terminal. The big idea is multitasking: fire off multiple research and coding tasks, move between them, and let custom subagents work in parallel.
Andrej Karpathy Joins Anthropic
Andrej Karpathy joined Anthropic, which is a huge signal for the frontier AI agent race. The point is not just the hire itself, but the broader trend of world-class technical people leaving massive roles to become individual contributors at Anthropic.
Claude Desktop App Improvements
Claude Desktop is getting closer to a real super app: chat, knowledge work, coding tasks, integrations, skills, and a browser-like interface. The main complaint is still that Claude Cowork and Claude Code feel too separated.
